It's been awhile

Wow it has been almost two months since I have written. I haven't had a chance to go to any concerts since the Falling in Reverse show :( I know it is really sad. It's mostly to do with time, but also this job. By the time I get off work I am just really not in the mood to do much of anything. It has taken everything in me just to workout after I get off work. But I have been thinking latley and something has to change.

I have decided to take yet another stab at college. But this time I am going to go back and do Buisness in music. It was what I had sat out to do in the first place and now I am back at square one. We will see how things go, it will probably be awhile because of working full time I am not going to want to take a bunch of classes at once. But I have to do something and music makes me happy.

I just have to hang in there and take little steps to making myself happy again. I have come a long way in the last 16 months but I think I still have a long way to go. Well this is more of a rant than anything... Sorry!!

Your King Has Returned

The only true word that I have to describe the concert on Monday was AMAZING, and that doesn't even begin to cover how I felt about the performance that Falling in Reverse did. Over the years of going to concerts, I have learned that some bands are great on record but a disappoint when you see them in concert. FIR however did the exact opposite, in my opinion it was better than even listening to their record (and I am in love with the record :D ). The songs sounded great, the energy and stage show was pure genius, it was an all around great show.

For all that Ronnie Radke has been through, he has really proved that he is back and ready to kick some ass. He said it right when he states "Your king has returned." If you haven't seen these guys yet they are a must see and I would check them out, I looked on the Warped Tour schedule and I didn't see them on there yet. I got a videos and pictures that I am going to work on posting. The videos turned out well, but the photos where taken on my Iphone so I don't really know that they all turned out to great.

Also another band that played that night is a band named "Skip the Foreplay." This band is actually from Canada and this was their first American tour. They are going to be at the Warped Tour this summer so defiantly check them out and support them. They are metal-core/dub step and they are defiantly worth seeing!

My next concert adventure will be this Friday and I'll be seeing Mayday Parade and We the Kings :D so stay tuned for another entry. I am going to include links to both Falling in Reverse and Skip the Foreplay's Facebook check them out!

Falling in Reverse Concert

I am going to go to the Falling in Reverse concert! I started listening to them a few months back and when I saw that they where going to be in Sacramento I was like alright I'm going! I find Ronnie Radke so inspiring to come back after all that he's been through and is becoming bigger than he was before.

At the moment my favorite song by them is "Goodbye Graceful." This was actually one of the first songs that I listened to by them, and I instantly fell in love. I am also a fan of some songs he did with Escape the Fate as well, one being "Not good enough for the truth in Cliche."

I started writing this blog last week, but due to events I am just now finishing it on the day of the concert at work! Haha. I will get better at this eventually. The venue is Ace of Spades and it's general admission so we will see what happens. I will post a blog within the next few days, and I will post whatever pictures I get as well! Hope you guys all have a great day:)

Intro to this Blog.

Hey there everyone, my name is Kimmiekins! Well that is what a lot of people call me as a nick name, but obviously my real name is Kim. This is about my third blog attempt now, but I think that i have found the perfect fit by dedicating this to all things music. It's my escape from my reality, which to be honest at the moment isn't as horriable as it could be but it's also not the greatest with somethings I have had to face in the last few years.

My main music interest are different types of rock, but if there is a catchy song I hear on the radio that I like I will listen to whatever genre it might be. One genre that I am not very fond of is country, but I am not dissin' it i just don't care for it! There are still a few songs here and there that I will actually listen to. But those who know me well know that I can't stand the song "Red Solo Cup" by Toby Keith. Again those of you that do, to each their own!!! But it's just not for me :)

Recently Black Veil Brides has become my favorite band. I may get a lot of hate for that but to be honest with all of you I don't really care. Their music has helped me out more than any other music since I started having problems in my life and I am proud to say that I am a huge fan of theirs, so you will probably see a lot of posts about them. If you hate it, well don't read it!

After a lot of thought, I decided that I am going reviews on bands but I would also take songs that I hear or have liked for a long time, write a review about them, how that particular song has helped me, and why I like it. As far as I have seen I don't see a lot of people do it, and I think that it would be something fun to do, even if no one ever reads my blog at least I will be able to look back and remember all the songs that have helped me through the tough times in my life as well as the songs that help lift my spirits and make me happy!

Should anyone ever come across this I hope they enjoy what I have to say and share with me some of their favorite songs and why they like them. Also any concerts people go to, or bands they come across are welcome too. I am always on the lookout for new bands and new songs to listen too. I look forward to getting feedback and hearing what other people have to say :)
